“Quality Prosthetic Care”: Clinical Standards from Treatment Planning through Rehabilitation
ABSTRACT DEADLINE FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS IS EXTENDED TO AUGUST 11, 2008
All delegates are encouraged to submit abstracts for Oral Presentation, Poster Presentations and Table Clinics. We encourage you to submit an abstract, whether or not you are a member of the AAA. Although abstracts for Oral Presentations for the General Session must be submitted by August 11, 2008, the program committee will continue to consider abstracts for Poster Presentations and Table Clinics - based on merit and available space.
The intent of the conference program committee is to ensure very high quality scientific contributions to the program. Acceptance of both oral and poster presentations will be by abstract submission. Abstracts will be screened by the Scientific Program Committee and judged for acceptance on scientific merit and potential for future contribution to the field of advanced technology in head and neck reconstruction. Emphasis will be placed on research-based abstracts.
Oral Presentations must be prepared for digital PowerPoint presentation and will be limited to 10 minutes (with 5 minutes allowed for questions). Please organize your oral presentation accordingly. Please see Abstract Instructions for submission guidelines.
Colleagues are encouraged to submit abstracts for Poster Presentations. Poster Presentations will be mounted on a 40-inch (101.6 cm) high by 60-inch (152.4 cm) wide foam board. Foam boards will be issued at conference site. Please prepare your poster accordingly. Please see Abstract Instructions for submission guidelines. Deadline for poster presentations is October 10, 2008.
The Table Clinics is an informal tabletop presentation with visual media and tangible instructive aids to inform, clarify, or review material on a specific topic. This information might explore a clinical theory, technical application, or some other aspect of patient treatment. As a presenter, you have an opportunity to expand knowledge in a special area of interest and spur curiosity and awareness in others about your profession through your creative, informative display. Deadline for Table Clinics is October 10, 2008.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
1. Type in English and submit as a Word document via email to . Authors may be required to edit their submission in order to meet criteria for acceptance. Guidelines can be found at http://www.anaplastology.org
2. Type title of abstract. Titles should be descriptive and concise.
3. Type each author’s full name, title, academic degree, affiliation, and location. Presenter should be indicated by asterisk.
4. Type abstract. Research abstracts should follow a structured format (350 words or less). All other abstracts should be summarized in one paragraph (250 words or less). Please be descriptive of the content of the presentation as your abstract will be published in the program if your presentation is selected.
Upon notification of acceptance, information regarding presentation instructions and poster size will be sent to presenters. Prior to September 15, 2008, please submit handouts for your presentation to the AAA program committee for reproduction and distribution at the annual conference by emailing them to . Hand out information is very helpful, particularly outlines of your topic, technical details, references, materials lists or product sources.

AAA Policy Regarding Presenter Registration Fees and Expenses
The AAA, as most other professional organizations, considers it an honor and privilege to present at its annual conference, and therefore, except in special circumstances designated by the program committee, presenters are expected to pay the conference registration fee, travel, and accommodation arrangements.
Presenter Disclosure Declaration
All individuals wishing to provide presentations during the general sessions or poster session are required to complete the AAA disclosure declaration form prior to addressing the conference delegation. The disclosure form can be downloaded from the AAA Website, http://www.anaplastology.org
