International Conference
The AAA international conference is one of the major activities and the most important on-going education project of this organization. It is a venue for professionals who make anatomical restorations for the face, body, and eyes. The conference occurs annually at various metropolitan cities in North America. Over a four day period there are educational opportunities including oral presentations, panel discussions, case presentations, as well as hands-on-demonstrations of new techniques, materials, and technologies. The lectures and workshops at the annual AAA conferences offer continuing education for professionals in the field. Conference registration is discounted as a benefit of AAA membership.
Invitation from the AAA President
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
The conference is the ideal time for the dissemination of ideas and constructive collaboration that happens best when like-minded people have opportunities to talk, socialize, and learn from each other. It is quite safe to say that your participation and investment in attending this conference will reinforce your commitment to the goals of outstanding patient care and continued professional excellence. I am sure that you will find this year’s conference to be enriching, stimulating and thoroughly enjoyable. Gwen Guilford and the super team of dedicated volunteers that she has assembled have been at work for some time now to prepare a spectacular event that you won’t want to miss.
If an outstanding program were not enough, you can also look forward to earning certification as a clinical anaplastologist, inasmuch as the first opportunity to test for this long awaited benchmark is scheduled for the day before the conference opens.
And, on top of all of this, the 2008 conference will also be the official launch of last year’s decision to recognize the growing international nature of our association with the unveiling of our new name and logo. It’s going to be very exciting!
I invite you to be part of this year’s conference which will not only be enjoyable, but historic.
Sincerely,
Jerry Schoendorf, MAMS
Welcome from the Program Chair
The 23rd Annual Conference is taking place this year in Atlanta, Georgia November 6-9th. This year’s program will identify the standards required for our field, to provide professional and successful treatment plans to our patients. Our committee has set up very informative and educational sessions. Our program will be organized to bring you through a treatment plan from the beginning of diagnosis to follow-up care for a prosthesis. Our goal is to bring common standards and requirements to our organization so that we all can follow the same guideline set forth by the association’s highly respected experts in our field.
Anaplastology has been successfully striving to be an internationally known and respected field in which our providers are highly trained and set the standards for prosthetic services delivered to our patients. Our mentors have set forth the clinical standards in which all Anaplastologists must abide by to provide our patients with the best possible care available. We have invited the most respected clinicians in our field to share and educate our members on how to be successful.
So please join us at the AAA annual meeting in Atlanta, Georgia to discuss and experience “Quality Prosthetic Care.”
Gwen Guilford
